Re-Create 2015 welcomes papers, panel presentations and posters from researchers, artists, designers, scholars and technologists working across diverse disciplines, sites and practices. Organizers particularly encourage submissions from scholars and creators from international contexts outside of Europe and North America. The conference, 5–8 November 2015, seeks to interrogate the historical entanglement of research and making within a diverse set of international sites, disciplines and contexts: from non-institutional creative research initiatives driven by artists and designers in the streets, to the labyrinths of industry-funded research labs and universities. Re-Create 2015 is hosted by Hexagram, Concordia University and Université du Québec à Montréal in collaboration with Media@McGill and the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Music Media and Technology at McGill University. Deadline to submit: 7 December 2014. Find out more
