Waseda Summer Session: June 23 – July 18, 2014

The Waseda Summer Session is a fee paying program for UG students which includes two Japanese studies courses and optional Japanese language instruction.

The UNSW School of Humanities and Languages has examined the course offerings (http://waseda-summer.com/courses/#sec4) and have pre-approved the following for 2014:

Waseda Courses: CULTURE I JAPANESE CULTURE AND SOCIETY and HISTORY II JAPAN AND THE COLOR LINE: GLOBAL AND LOCAL DIMENSIONS

can be transferred as

UNSW course: ARTS2633 CULTURAL SURVEY OF JAPAN

Waseda also offer an optional Japanese course however credit cannot be given for this at UNSW. Students who choose to do it will do it for interest only.

Application Process: UNSW students who wish to apply must do so online through the Waseda Summer Session website. Students are responsible for all fees involved in the program. Online applications are open until April 17, 2014.

Students who apply should also complete the Global Education Registration Form and return it to advisor4globaled@unsw.edu.au.

Credit Transfer Process: As this is a fee paying program students must apply for credit through Cross Institutional Studies. If you have any questions about how this works please email advisor4globaled@unsw.edu.au

Scholarships: Waseda University is a U21 partner. UNSW students can apply for scholarships here.
