Planned Maintenance Outage: UNSW Network Outages

IT at UNSW advises that there will be outages occurring on the UNSW Network as follows.

Date: Sunday 21 November 2010
Time: 06:00 – 23:59
Duration: 5-10 minute outages x 3 times during this period

Zones/Campuses affected: UNSW Main Campus
Services affected: Access to network services from desktop and laptop machines via network cable or UniWide
Services Not Affected: Data Centre services and network access from other campus or VPN access and telephone

Purpose:
IT at UNSW will be upgrading the Network infrastructure.

User impact:
During the period of the outage there will be intermittent network connection outages from desktop machines and laptops connected to the UNSW network or Uniwide.  If at any stage during Sunday 21 November 2010 you experience issues accessing any services from your PC, please wait 5-10 minutes and try the service again. These intermitted outages may happen up to 3 times per building during the course of the outage period.  If after this stage the issue persists, please contact the service desk on ext 51333 or 02 9385 1333.
