ART MONTH, NIEA Pop-Up

Every Sunday in March, 2012

The National Institute for Experimental Arts (NIEA) at UNSW is a dynamic experimental research facility integrating the College of Fine Arts’ research centres, groups and galleries. At The Rocks Pop-Up , an Open Studio for experimental and media-based arts engages postgraduate research students and selected visiting artists to develop, prototype and test new work and artistic experiments. The NIEA artists in the space for March will be showcasing their work to the public every Sunday from 10-4pm at 47 George Street.

The National Institute for Experimental Arts (NIEA) is proud to present a stellar line up of Postgraduate students as part of the Rocks Pop Up Project. Over eight weeks NIEA will be showcasing cutting edge experimental practice by Postgraduate students from the College of Fine Arts and the University of New South Wales. With a new exhibition every week it promises to be an exciting and diverse program of interactive and experimental contemporary art. NIEA is bringing art out of the studios and into the public for a rare glimpse at the creative research produced by the Institute’s postgraduates. Running from 2nd of November to 25th of December at 85 George Street, and 27 Nurses Walk,  The Rocks. Programmed by Dr Tim Gregory.
