The festival will have three primary audiences for the festival, with
three separate tracks pertaining to
the respective audience, all focusing on the correlation between art
and science.

The first audience is represented by DISD students, 6th – 10th grade.
This track will showcase the ample
amount of professions that utilize both art and science. It is aimed
at removing restrictive preconceptions
about career paths, opening their minds to interdisciplinary
professions. Through this track, the students
will learn how the arts are relevant in their own education and how
the implementation of the arts through
STEM can lead to creativity and innovation.

The second audience is represented by their parents. The aim is to
promote the importance of establishing
a STEAM curriculum at a young age, in the home. Seeking a
representatives that can show the parents of
STEAM activities their child can participate in. This track will
showcase reasons to consider adding
STEAM-related projects to their child’s activities through evidence
of success in careers utilizing STEAM.

The third audience is represented by the educators of DISD since it
all comes back to education.
This track will inform the educators of reasons why a STEAM-based
curriculum is beneficial to a
student’s development through creating methods of implementing STEAM
activities into their
curriculum, particularly how art and science can be taught together.

We have three primary audiences for our festival, so we have created
three separate tracks
pertaining to the respective audience, all focusing on the
correlation between art and science.
