Australia House is calling for participants for the Residency Program 2017.

Australia House was opened at the 5th Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale in 2012. It consists of accommodation and gallery spaces to enable artists in residence to stay, work, and exhibit as well as to facilitate community activities and exchanges between Australia and Japan.

This year, not only visual artists but also performance artists, writers, researchers, art educators and people of all art forms are encouraged to apply.

The program offers opportunities to stay at Australia House for up to three weeks and to experience the Echigo-Tsumari Art Field, its nature and life, and exchanges with the local people in Urada Village where the Australia House is located.
