JPMorgan Chase Corporate challenge<\/h2>\n

The Sydney leg of the JPMorgan Chase Corporate challenge is happening in November:<\/p>\n

Date:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Wednesday, 9 November 2011<\/p>\n

Place:\u00a0\u00a0 Centennial Park, Sydney<\/p>\n

Start: \u00a0\u00a0\u00a06:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Entry:\u00a0\u00a0 $50 per person<\/p>\n

The course is 5.6km loop around Centennial park. You can run or walk the course. Last year 290 companies were represented in Sydney and there were almost 6000 participants.<\/p>\n

Globally almost 200,000 people participate. JPM donates profits from the race to a local charity in each city (Football United! for Sydney 2011). Participants also receive a quality running t-shirt at the end of the race.<\/p>\n

Australian School of Business\u00a0Annual Alumni cocktail event<\/h2>\n

Each November alumni and Sydney\u2019s business elite gather for an evening of fine food and networking at the Annual Alumni Cocktail Event.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s guest speaker is Ann Sherry<\/a>, AO is one of Australia\u2019s most respected business leaders. She is also a member of the Australian School of Business Advisory Council.<\/p>\n

Ann has had an extensive career in banking and is now successfully running Australasia\u2019s largest cruise ship operation, Carnival Australia.<\/p>\n

Ann will speak on the Topic: Managing risk in a risky world.<\/p>\n

Marketing Competition<\/h2>\n

AGSM students are invited to a marketing competition in a real world challenge!!<\/p>\n

Delivery Hero is a start-up company, and is launching an online delivery service and need to develop and implement a marketing strategy for B2C.<\/p>\n

The competition is between MBS, AGSM and University of Sydney. You can participate individually or in groups of 2 people.<\/p>\n

Opportunity to join the GDM Program<\/h2>\n

Students who are about to finish their GCCM can consider joining the GDM. The application deadline for Session 1, 2012 is Nov 7th<\/sup>, 2011. Students must submit all documentation by this date.<\/p>\n

Students who achieve a WAM of 60% may apply to the Graduate Diploma in Management. Should their application be successful, they would receive three exemptions from the courses Managing People & Organisations, Managerial Skills and Managing Change. You must complete a further five core courses to achieve GDM.<\/p>\n

If you wish to apply for the GDM program please contact our Admissions Team at admissions@agsm.edu.au<\/a><\/p>\n
