Bypassing<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">cartography, at the crossroads of research and art, it offers a new<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">approach of the mutations of borders and on the way they are<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">experienced by people in the 21st century.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">The antiAtlas is an outcome of the transdisciplinary research project<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">led by IM\u00e9RA (Institut M\u00e9diterran\u00e9en de Recherches Avanc\u00e9es \u2013<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">Mediterranean Institute of Advanced Research) on the mutations of<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">contemporary territorial configurations (2011-2013). It will be one of<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">the steps of Ulysses, a major exhibition program in Marseille-Provence<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">2013 supported by the FRAC (Regional Fund for Contemporary Art). The<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">objective of the antiAtlas is to decompartmentalize the fields of<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">knowledge, bringing together artists, human scientists, hard<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">scientists and professionals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">The antiAtlas will rely on five different supports:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">1 : an international symposium open to researchers, institutional<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">actors, and to the public at large. It will take place at the Maison<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">M\u00e9diterran\u00e9enne des Sciences de l\u2019Homme in Aix en Provence, from the<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">30th of September to the 2d of October 2013)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">2 : a first art-science exhibition at the Mus\u00e9e des Tapisseries in Aix<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">en Provence (from 1rst October to 3 November 2013)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">3 : a second art-science exhibition at La Compagnie, a place dedicated<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">creation and art in Marseille (from 13 December 2013 to 1srt mars<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">2014)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">4 : an artistic and scientific web site that will complete and<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">perpetuate the work done and presented through the research program<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">and the two exhibitions<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">5 : an art science printed volume (winter 2014)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">Scientific and Artistic Committee: C\u00e9dric Parizot (coordinator of the<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">research program, IM\u00e9RA, IREMAM, CNRS, Aix Marseille University), Jean<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">Cristofol (ESAA, Aix en Provence), Anne Laure Amilhat Szary<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">(University Joseph Fourier, Grenoble), Nicola Mai (London Metropolitan<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">University, London; IM\u00e9RA), Antoine Vion (Sociologist, LEST, Aix<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">Marseille University), Paul Emmanuel Odin (Art critic, La compagnie).<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">Curator: Isabelle Arvers<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">CALL FOR PROPOSALS<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">The call for proposals is opened in order to select original<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">productions for the exhibition that will take place at la Compagnie,<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">from 13 December 2013 to 1rst March 2014.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">Because of its transdisciplinary nature, the antiAtlas of Borders<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">offers multiple levels of involvement and participation. Visitors will<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">engage with a variety of transmedia applications within a space<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">punctuated with interactive sculptures, installations and videos. This<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">playful exhibition will stimulate the public through the interaction<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">with robots, drones and video games. This is an exhibition to engage<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">with: try it yourself!<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">The curator and the artistic and scientific committee are looking for<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">various proposals (artworks, net. Art, photo, video, testimonies,<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">documentaries, video games \u2026) showing different ways to experience the<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">borders.
