360 Conference: Time Around Space<\/span><\/p>\n

ICCI and Faculty of Arts, Plymouth University, UK<\/span>
\n21st and 22nd June 2013<\/span><\/p>\n

Registration is now open for delegates to attend the inaugural 360<\/span>
\nConference: Time around Space<\/span><\/p>\n

Keynote speakers include:<\/span>
\nOliver GRAU, Professor of Image Science and Head of the Department for<\/span>
\nImage Science at the Danube University<\/span>
\nProfessor Ulrich NETHER: Chair of Product Design + Ergonomics,<\/span>
\nPerception Lab, Detmold School of Architecture and Interior<\/span>
\nArchitecture, Hochschule Ostwestfalen- Lippe, University of Applied<\/span>
\nSciences.<\/span><\/p>\n

With over twenty speakers, this conference seeks to explore<\/span>
\ninterdisciplinary questions around the creative potential of the 360<\/span>
\nenvironment which may include; the environment as intelligent agent, as<\/span>
\na projection space, a performance space, a space of audience experience<\/span>
\nand a space offering new possibilities of meaning, narrative and<\/span>
\ninteractive forms.<\/span><\/p>\n

The conference will focus around the themes of: Moving Image, Sound &<\/span>
\nMusic, Interactivity and performance, combining theory and practice to<\/span>
\nexplore the parameters of time and space associated with 360\u00b0<\/span>
\nenvironments and other immersive spaces.<\/span><\/p>\n

The programme has been devised to include both theoretical and practice<\/span>
\nelements and to involve delegate participation to explore the parameters<\/span>
\nof time and space. There are currently thirteen academic paper<\/span>
\npresentations that cover a range of topics including; editing film for<\/span>
\n360 presentation, immersive perception, panorama and memory and<\/span>
\nnarrative journeys.<\/span>
\nWorkshops\/practical demonstration contributions include interactive<\/span>
\nprojects and 360 video stitching.<\/span>
\nA large variety of 360 films, animations, sound projects and<\/span>
\ninteractive events will be presented alongside static exhibitions and<\/span>
\ngallery discussions.<\/span><\/p>\n
