{"id":526,"date":"2013-06-10T09:34:53","date_gmt":"2013-06-10T16:34:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.unsw.edu.au\/artsci\/?p=526"},"modified":"2013-06-10T09:34:58","modified_gmt":"2013-06-10T16:34:58","slug":"360-conference-time-around-space","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.unsw.edu.au\/artsci\/blog\/2013\/06\/360-conference-time-around-space\/","title":{"rendered":"360 Conference: Time Around Space"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">360 Conference: Time Around Space<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">ICCI and Faculty of Arts, Plymouth University, UK<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">21st and 22nd June 2013<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">Registration is now open for delegates to attend the inaugural 360<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">Conference: Time around Space<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">Keynote speakers include:<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">Oliver GRAU, Professor of Image Science and Head of the Department for<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">Image Science at the Danube University<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">Professor Ulrich NETHER: Chair of Product Design + Ergonomics,<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">Perception Lab, Detmold School of Architecture and Interior<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">Architecture, Hochschule Ostwestfalen- Lippe, University of Applied<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">Sciences.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">With over twenty speakers, this conference seeks to explore<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">interdisciplinary questions around the creative potential of the 360<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">environment which may include; the environment as intelligent agent, as<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">a projection space, a performance space, a space of audience experience<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">and a space offering new possibilities of meaning, narrative and<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">interactive forms.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">The conference will focus around the themes of: Moving Image, Sound &amp;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">Music, Interactivity and performance, combining theory and practice to<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">explore the parameters of time and space associated with 360\u00b0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">environments and other immersive spaces.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">The programme has been devised to include both theoretical and practice<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">elements and to involve delegate participation to explore the parameters<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;text-align: -webkit-auto\">of time and space.
