We use our hands to touch and feel.

But the objects that we touch, do they look like the feeling they invoke?

To find out, I took different textures to experiment with: slate, sand, glass, memory foam mattress, pages of a novel, laptop (metal), water and lentils.

I blindfolded myself. Closely felt each of the textures using my hands, and without thinking, drew what i felt.

Nothing looks the way it feels. Maybe, that’s how we should remember objects. By the way they make us feel. Therefore, that’s how we would draw them too.
