It\u2019s rare that I go on a drive, sit on a bus, or walk down a sidewalk without wondering what the people around me are thinking, feeling, and pursuing. Some days I\u2019m stuck in Atlanta\u2019s rush hour traffic as I jam to America\u2019s latest hits to pass the time. Other days, I find myself on a leisurely walk through Kingsford as I whistle along to a coffee shop tune.<\/p>\n

Due to this interest in juxtaposed paths, I decided to utilize Spotify\u2019s Friends List in my random number generator. Spotify\u2019s Friends List enables users to receive real-time updates on what songs and podcasts their friends are listening to. I began my random number generator by opening this feature in Spotify and refreshing it to see which one of my friends had most recently played a song. This led me to Lauren Lee as she listened to the song “Bad Idea” by YBN Cordae.<\/p>\n

Almost immediately after this refresh, I received a notification for bus route 313 since I\u2019ve been tracking different routes on my phone in order to acclimate to Sydney.<\/p>\n

I then went to moment 3:13, that being 3 minutes and 13 seconds into, Lauren Lee\u2019s most recent song. At this moment in the song, the song sings the word \u201cmight.\u201d<\/p>\n
