The object that comes out of my random generator was “bench”.
First brainstorm about “bench”.
Then I go deeply into the idea about TimeSpan.
Then I realized that a bench is a platform, a mirror that can reflect part of the city and the society. I’m also interested in how does bench builds relationships with people. I was curious about the difference between a chair and a bench, and I realized that a bench is a public object, a thing that can be shared with others.
Thus I stay in Hyde park and shoot a series of time-lapse videos of benches, I observed those who sit on the bench, like what they do, what they look like, what happens to them.
I used Time-lapse video and then draw the outline or shape of those people, then overlapping those outlines and shapes.
