{"id":1308,"date":"2015-11-12T22:47:14","date_gmt":"2015-11-12T22:47:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.unsw.edu.au\/daao\/?p=1308"},"modified":"2015-11-12T23:47:55","modified_gmt":"2015-11-12T23:47:55","slug":"aeaf-archives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.unsw.edu.au\/daao\/blog\/2015\/11\/aeaf-archives\/","title":{"rendered":"AEAF Archives"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>We&#8217;ve had some great opportunities to work with South Australian cultural organisations over the years. \u00a0This year DAAO\u00a0partnered with the <a href=\"http:\/\/aeaf.org.au\/\" target=\"_blank\">Australian Experimental Art Foundation (<span class=\"caps\">AEAF<\/span>)<\/a> on a project aimed at exposing their extensive archives. \u00a0In particular the project focussed on <span class=\"caps\">AEAF<\/span>\u00a0event data from 1974-84, which was not previously indexed online.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div>Project officer Sarah Northcott worked through archives from the period, including the publication\u00a0<em>A decade at the EAF: A History of the Experimental Art Foundation 1974-1984<\/em>, Britton, Stephanie (ed.), to create and update nearly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.daao.org.au\/profile\/Sarah_Jane\/contrib\/edit\/#Work\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>500\u00a0<\/strong>person, group, event, work and reference records<\/a>.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div>As it happens, Sarah has a particular interest in this period of the AEAF&#8217;s history. \u00a0Her Art History Thesis (Master of Arts,<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>University of Adelaide 2012) was titled\u00a0<em>Institutional Responses to Post Object Art in Australia 1974-1979: The Experimental Art Foundation, \u2018Link\u2019 Exhibitions at the Art Gallery of South Australia<\/em>, \u00a0so\u00a0she was the perfect woman for the job.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div>Thanks to Sarah for all of her work in making this archive accessible through DAAO, \u00a0to CI Cathy Speck for initiating the project and\u00a0especially to the Julie Lawton, Fulvia Mantelli and the AEAF team for their guidance\u00a0and hospitality.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;ve had some great opportunities to work with South Australian cultural organisations over the years. \u00a0This year DAAO\u00a0partnered with the Australian Experimental Art Foundation (AEAF) on a project aimed at exposing their extensive archives. \u00a0In particular the project focussed on AEAF\u00a0event data from 1974-84, which was not previously indexed online.
