The University of Leeds has opened applications\u00a0for the\u00a0Leeds International Summer School (LISS), with the addition of two new modules<\/strong> available to choose from.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

LISS is an enriching 4-week taster of British education and culture, combining world class tuition with local knowledge, experiential field trips and a wide variety of cultural and social activities. When\u00a0students apply\u00a0they should select one module from each block.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>The Olympic Games \u2013 Sport in the UK<\/span><\/p>\n

Field Trips and Social Excursions:<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0Students will be visiting many wonderful cities and places of interest on the school, including: Liverpool – home of the Beatles, the beautiful historic city of York, the picturesque village of Haworth and the surrounding Moors where the Bront\u00eb sisters grew up, outstanding stately homes such as Castle Howard (voted one of the Top 10 greatest mansions in the world by Lonely Planet<\/em>), Olympic sports facilities in Manchester, a trip to Oxford (new to 2012) and more!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Academic Credits:<\/span><\/strong> On completing the programme, LISS students can take home 20 Leeds University credits (= 6 US credits\/10 ECTS). <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Early Application Offer<\/span><\/strong>: Applicants who apply before 16 March 2012<\/strong> are entitled to a reduced programme fee.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Leeds\u00a0are also\u00a0offering a limited number of scholarships worth \u00a31700<\/strong> for students from our reciprocal exchange partners (including UNSW), covering full tuition costs, meaning those lucky scholarship winners have to pay only \u00a3900 to cover all excursions and entrance fees, module field trips, social activities and accommodation.
