All airfares, transport, meals and accommodation will be met by the Mitsui Education Foundation.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">When is it? <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>19<sup>th<\/sup> November \u2013 10<sup>th<\/sup> December 2013<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Example Itinerary<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Places of historical significance such as Kyoto, Nara and Hiroshima;<\/li>\n<li>Visits to various Japanese companies and factories;<\/li>\n<li>Homestay with a Japanese family;<\/li>\n<li>Weekend with Japanese university students who will commence employment with Mitsui next year;<\/li>\n<li>Attending a lecture at Keio University with their Japanese students;<\/li>\n<li>Meeting with the Australian Ambassador to Japan;<\/li>\n<li>Experience of the nature in Japan such as Hakone and Miyajima Island;<\/li>\n<li>Experience of the Japanese tradition such as hot spring and tea ceremony; and<\/li>\n<li>Various tourist destinations in Tokyo including temples, shrines and museums.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please note this is NOT a recruitment exercise by Mitsui.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Eligibility<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. Are a full-time, on-campus undergraduate student at UNSW in second year or above<\/p>\n<p>2. Are Australian citizens<\/p>\n<p>3. An overall WAM of 70+ with no fails<\/p>\n<p>4. Can clearly demonstrate a keen interest in learning broadly about Japan, and could most benefit from the MEF experience<\/p>\n<p>5. Will act as outstanding ambassadors for UNSW, the state of NSW, and Australia on the tour<\/p>\n<p>**Study of Japan\/Japanese language is not required to be eligible for the tour.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">How to apply<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students must complete the <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.unsw.edu.au\/globaled\/files\/2013\/04\/editable-MEF-Application2.pdf\">MEF Application Form<\/a>\u00a0and return to <a href=\"mailto:advisor4globaled@unsw.edu.au\">advisor4globaled@unsw.edu.au<\/a>.
