The program can be combined with a volunteer program on a local tropical island, a homestay program, batik making classes or include Malay Language classes. While perfect for TESOL students, the program is open to any students seeking a different international experience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Roles of the volunteers<\/strong> :<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Peer Learning groups\/ Study buddies to help UMK students overcome the fear of communicating in the English Language.<\/li>\n<li>As co \u2013 facilitator in\u00a0 Co-curricular activities \u2013 English Camps, Drama, Cultural programs<\/li>\n<li>Create opportunities for UMK students to communicate in the English Language daily \u2013 in the hostels, going out for lunch &amp; dinner together, playing games in the evenings etc.<\/li>\n<li>As a teacher assistant to help facilitate the teachers in the English language classroom activities<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Accommodation is free and students will have free access to facilities on campus including pool, gymnasium etc and intercampus transport, and sponsored participation in outdoor activities.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, please visti:<a href=\"http:\/\/theglobalstudent.net\/programs-for-individuals\/#UMK\">http:\/\/theglobalstudent.net\/programs-for-individuals\/#UMK<\/a><\/p>\n<p>UNSW students who would like to apply should apply directly to The Global Student.
