{"id":3614,"date":"2014-02-18T22:36:26","date_gmt":"2014-02-19T05:36:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.unsw.edu.au\/globaled\/?p=3614"},"modified":"2014-02-18T22:37:59","modified_gmt":"2014-02-19T05:37:59","slug":"nus-fasstrack-asia-the-summer-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.unsw.edu.au\/globaled\/blog\/2014\/02\/nus-fasstrack-asia-the-summer-school\/","title":{"rendered":"NUS FASStrack Asia: the Summer School"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) at <strong>The National University of Singapore<\/strong> will be offering <strong><em>FASStrack Asia: the Summer School<\/em><\/strong> from <strong>23 June to 25 July in 2014<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As Asia undergoes rapid growth and changes, this <strong>5-week summer school<\/strong> will focus on Asian-related topics and issues so students can gain a better understanding of the region. Students in the summer school will attend classes, participate in active discussions and go on field trips with academic experts. NUS offer courses related to <strong>East Asia and Southeast Asia<\/strong>, as well as in <strong>Economics<\/strong> and various <strong>Asian language courses<\/strong>. Some of them will feature an <strong>8 to 10 days\u2019 field trip to countries such as China, Korea, Japan, Cambodia and Thailand,<\/strong> as well as <strong>local field trips in Singapore.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students will stay on-campus at their new residential colleges and combine living, studying and playing on-campus for a comprehensive summer experience in NUS. Students receiving a credit transfer will instead be enrolled at UNSW and pay UNSW course fees.
