\u201cThe Yonsei International Summer School (YISS) opened its doors in 1985 and since then, YISS has become an integral part of campus life based on a unique blend of Korean and global cultures. YISS continues to grow and evolve, accommodating the needs of a rapidly changing student body and meeting the challenges of a fast-paced global society.<\/p>\n

The 2014 program has been revamped in order to highlight growing interest in the arts, culture, and humanities <\/strong>while also offering cutting-edge classes in management and economics, global issues, history and social sciences, and science and technology.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This summer, we invite you to experience the legendary \u201cYonsei Spirit\u201d and to join us for an unforgettable summer in the heart of Seoul. You will make life-long friends<\/strong>, build new networks<\/strong>, expand and deepen your academic and cultural horizons<\/strong>, and experience life in one of Asia\u2019s coolest, yet largely undiscovered metropolises of 10 million.<\/p>\n

Scholarship<\/strong><\/p>\n

UNSW is pleased to announce that the <\/strong>Yonsei International Summer School are kindly offering a scholarship for one UNSW student. The scholarship will fund full tuition (KRW 3,600,000) for the selected student. This is to encourage a smart and passionate UNSW student who is under financial difficulties to study abroad at Yonsei.<\/p>\n

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:<\/p>\n

1) Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident<\/p>\n

2) 2nd<\/sup> year student and above<\/p>\n

3) WAM of 70+<\/p>\n

4) UNSW full time student who is suffering from financial difficulties. You must provide supporting documentation (e.g. Centrelink statements, bank statements from the last 6 months, proof of part time work etc.).<\/p>\n

How to Apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The selected student must be nominated by our office. UNSW students who would like to apply for the scholarship must complete the UNSW GEP Application<\/a> and return to advisor4globaled@unsw.edu.au<\/a> by Friday March 28th<\/sup> 2014.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you would like to participate in the program, but are not applying for the scholarship you may still do so by completing the application instructions listed on the YISS website. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Credit Transfer<\/strong><\/p>\n

UNSW students who are seeking credit for the program must do so through cross institutional studies<\/em>. Please discuss this with your school and\/or faculty.<\/p>\n
