{"id":4577,"date":"2015-01-20T22:04:28","date_gmt":"2015-01-21T05:04:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.unsw.edu.au\/globaled\/?p=4577"},"modified":"2015-01-20T22:05:48","modified_gmt":"2015-01-21T05:05:48","slug":"the-universite-catholique-de-lille%e2%80%99s-european-summer-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.unsw.edu.au\/globaled\/blog\/2015\/01\/the-universite-catholique-de-lille%e2%80%99s-european-summer-program\/","title":{"rendered":"The Universit\u00e9 Catholique de Lille\u2019s European Summer Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Universit\u00e9 Catholique de Lille, France will be running the <strong>15th<\/strong><strong> European Summer Program in\u00a0 from the 30<sup>th<\/sup> June \u2013 23 July, 2015.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.univ-catholille.fr\/index-UK.asp\">Universit\u00e9 Catholique de Lille<\/a> is the largest private, not-for-profit university in France, with an urban campus located in the heart of this vibrant city, within easy walking distance of the cultural and commercial centre, ample green space, and more.<\/p>\n<p>The details of the program are as follows:<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>General Program <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Electives taught in English + French Intensive Language Course<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>French Only Program<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Electives taught in French + French Intensive Language Course<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Science &amp; Engineering Program<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Taught in English<\/p>\n<p>Students also have the opportunity to take an elective on the Great War titled, \u201cIn Flanders Fields:\u00a0 The Great War on the Eastern Front\u2014History and Film\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Students can also join optional visits to some of the physical traces of WWI in the region, such as the Canadian Memorial at Vimy Ride, the Australian War Memorial and Military Cemetery at Fromelles and the Flanders Field Museum in Ypres, Belgium.<\/p>\n<p>Full details of courses, including syllabi, are available <a href=\"http:\/\/www.univ-catholille.fr\/european-summer-program\/list-of-courses.asp\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application: <\/strong>UNSW Students must complete the\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:GEP%20Registration%20Form\">GEP Registration Form<\/a> and\u00a0email to <a href=\"mailto:advisor4globaled@unsw.edu.au\">advisor4globaled@unsw.edu.au<\/a> by <strong>Friday,<\/strong> <strong>March 20<sup>th<\/sup> at 9am.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Credit Transfer Process: <\/strong>As this is a fee-paying program students must apply for credit through\u00a0<em>Cross Institutional Studies.<\/em> If you have any questions about how this works please email\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:advisor4globaled@unsw.edu.au\">advisor4globaled@unsw.edu.au<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Universit\u00e9 Catholique de Lille, France will be running the 15th European Summer Program in\u00a0 from the 30th June \u2013 23 July, 2015.
