{"id":495,"date":"2011-02-20T17:51:04","date_gmt":"2011-02-21T00:51:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.unsw.edu.au\/globaled\/?p=495"},"modified":"2011-02-20T17:51:04","modified_gmt":"2011-02-21T00:51:04","slug":"french-embassy-internship-with-pernod-ricard","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.unsw.edu.au\/globaled\/blog\/2011\/02\/french-embassy-internship-with-pernod-ricard\/","title":{"rendered":"French Embassy Internship with Pernod Ricard"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To increase Australian student mobility to France, the Embassy of France has drawn together a number of leading French companies and Australian universities to develop this exciting internship program for Australian tertiary students.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0The internship would involve working in a French company established in Australia for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>6 months in Australia followed by<\/li>\n<li>6 months in France at the headquarters or another branch.<\/li>\n<li>An intensive French language course to be provided before departing for France<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>\u00a0FINANCIAL SUPPORT<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Up to $30,000 allowance<\/li>\n<li>$2,500 Travel grant for a return airfare to France<\/li>\n<li>$2,000 Intensive French language course<\/li>\n<li>Medical cover while staying in France<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>\u00a0ELIGILBILITY<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advanced undergraduates (3<sup>rd<\/sup> -4<sup>th<\/sup> year) and postgraduates.<\/li>\n<li>All disciplines<\/li>\n<li>From intermediate level French language proficiency \u2013 students who have completed French continuous and\/or French extension in the HSC examination, or at least one year of French at the University.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Pernod Ricard<\/em> &#8211; are looking for\u00a0a science or agriculture student who would be interested in taking part in an internship as part of the French internships program.\u00a0 This will be based in Adelaide in the first instance and then in France\u00a0.\u00a0 In addition to some interest in science (and preferably wine making) the company would like someone who is motivated and potentially interested in a career with the company\u00a0.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>SELECTION PROCESS<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Students will submit a letter expressing their interest and a CV to Michelle Kofod at <a href=\"mailto:m.kofod@unsw.edu.au\">m.kofod@unsw.edu.au<\/a> by <strong>Monday 28<sup>th<\/sup> February 2011<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The University will interview candidates and provide the Company with a shortlist of suitable candidates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>\u00a0FURTHER DETAILS<\/em><\/p>\n<p>See the accompanying documents<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.unsw.edu.au\/globaled\/files\/2011\/02\/PD-Research-Assistant-august-2010.pdf\">PD Research Assistant &#8211;
