The application deadline is <strong>20 June 2011.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>New Leibniz-DAAD Research Fellowship Programme attracts excellent young<br \/>\nacademics to Germany<\/p>\n<p>Leibniz Association and DAAD launch fellowship programme. 15 international post-docs do a year\u2019s research at Leibniz Institute of their choice. The application deadline is 20 June 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Berlin\/Bonn, 22.03.2011. The Leibniz Association and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) are running a new international fellowship programme. With the Leibniz DAAD Research Fellowship Programme, up to 15 excellent international post-docs can conduct research for one year at one of the 87 Institutes of the Leibniz Association that they have chosen.<\/p>\n<p>The Leibniz-DAAD Research Fellowship Programme addresses qualified post-docs from all over the world who completed their doctorate not longer than two years ago. They can apply directly to the DAAD for a grant in a free application. The final selection of fellows is up to their respective Leibniz Institute of choice. The application deadline<br \/>\nfor the first round of selections is the 20 June 2011.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the Leibniz-DAAD Research Fellowship Programme, we aim to support a further internationalisation of German higher education and research and contribute to the development of international research personalities who remain associated with Germany as partners and friends,\u201d DAAD General Secretary Dorothea R\u00fcland stresses.<\/p>\n<p>Leibniz President Karl Ulrich Mayer emphasises: \u201cBy linking up the exceptionally dense international network of the DAAD and the excellent working conditions at the Institutes of the Leibniz Association, with the Leibniz-DAAD Research Fellowship Programme, we are creating an important instrument to attract young, excellent junior academics to<br \/>\nGermany.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Leibniz-DAAD Research Fellowship Programme grants are funded via the Impulse Fund of the Leibniz Association for special strategic projects. The DAAD advertises the programme and runs two-month German language courses for the fellows.
