This campaign was highlighted by a student from 2016. It is based in Standing Rock, North Dakota,&nbsp;where &nbsp;Native American land and water rights are coming up against the Federal government, law enforcement, and the oil industry. She writes that it is &quot;a good example of grassroots and digital &nbsp;activism.&nbsp; The mainstream media wasn&#039;t covering the campaign at all until very recently.&nbsp; Instead, the campaign launched a massive online\/social media movement which has resulted in &nbsp;movies going viral and more people going to the campsite where a small group are peacefully protesting against the oil pipeline.&nbsp; The campaign is also bumping into and&nbsp;getting support from &nbsp;relate campaigns from environmental and human rights organizations.&quot;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; If you find a campaign that reflects ideas covered in our course post it here.
