You\u2019re not alone if you\u2019re feeling unsure about picking the right degree. There are so many options, and often you\u2019re left wondering if your study choices will be what\u2019s right for the future-you.<\/p>\n
Our advice would be to follow your passions and combine them with your interests and strengths.\u00a0If you’re having trouble deciding what you’d like to study, consider giving yourself some flexibility\u00a0and\u00a0investigate\u00a0UNSW\u2019s extensive range of double degrees.<\/p>\n
Double degrees give you greater choice to either gain an expansive breadth of knowledge or a greater depth of knowledge. But what does this mean exactly?<\/p>\n
With a double degree,\u00a0you have the flexibility to shape your learning around your goals.\u00a0It\u00a0may\u00a0be important to keep your options open while studying\u00a0so\u00a0as your learning progresses,\u00a0you\u2019re able to\u00a0continue\u00a0exploring\u00a0possibilities\u00a0for your future. A double degree enables\u00a0this,\u00a0you\u00a0can\u00a0combine subject areas across the disciplines and build\u00a0up\u00a0a\u00a0broad skill\u00a0set and\u00a0knowledge\u00a0base\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0suited to a variety of\u00a0professional\u00a0contexts.<\/p>\n

In both these instances, multi-disciplinary double degrees\u00a0enable you to link\u00a0subjects from different areas of study,\u00a0expose yourself to different ways of thinking, and\u00a0create your ideal combination of knowledge.\u00a0A few examples of\u00a0multi-disciplinary double degrees\u00a0include\u00a0Design\/Media (PR & Advertising), Economics\/Science, Music\/Science, or\u00a0Fine Arts\/Law.<\/p>\n

The benefit is that you\u00a0can\u00a0be\u00a0thoughtful\u00a0and targeting when selecting your degree combination, to ensure that\u00a0your exposure to learning opportunities and skills development are structured to give you a deeper foundation of\u00a0knowledge\u00a0that you can then draw from once you graduate.
