Lanfranco\u00a0Aceti\u00a0works as an academic, artist and curator and is the founder of the Studium:\u00a0Lanfranco\u00a0Aceti\u00a0Inc.<\/a>, that is a company, an online archive and an art project. He is the founder and Director of\u00a0OCR<\/a> (Operational and Curatorial Research in Contemporary Art, Design, Science and Technology) and founder and Director of\u00a0MoCC<\/a> (Museum of Contemporary Cuts). He has also founded the Digital Media Exhibition Platform that has operated from 2010 presenting a range of international exhibitions both online and in physical spaces with an international\u00a0curatoriate\u00a0(Lanfranco\u00a0Aceti, Vince Dziekan, Christiane Paul).<\/p>\n

He is Visiting Professor at\u00a0Goldsmiths College<\/a>, department of Art and Computing, London; teaches Contemporary Art and Digital Culture at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences,\u00a0Sabanci University<\/a>, Istanbul; and is Editor in Chief of the\u00a0Leonardo Electronic Almanac<\/a> (The MIT Press<\/a>,\u00a0Leonardo journal<\/a> and\u00a0ISAST<\/a>). He was the Artistic Director and Conference Chair for\u00a0ISEA2011 Istanbul<\/a> and works as gallery director at\u00a0Kasa Gallery<\/a> in Istanbul. He has a Ph.D. from\u00a0Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design<\/a>, University of the Arts London. His work has been published in Leonardo, Routledge and Art Inquiry\u00a0and his interdisciplinary research focuses on the intersection between digital arts, visual culture and new media technologies.<\/p>\n

Lanfranco\u00a0Aceti\u00a0is specialized in contemporary art, inter-semiotic translations between classic media and new media, contemporary digital hybridization processes, Avant-garde\u00a0film and new media studies and their practice-based applications in the field of fine arts.<\/p>\n

He has worked as an Honorary Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science, Virtual Reality Environments at\u00a0University College London<\/a>. He has exhibited works at the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) in London and done digital interventions at TATE Modern, The Venice Biennale, MoMA, Neue Nationalgalerie, the ICA and the Irish Museum of Modern Art and participated in numerous festivals and biennials.<\/p>\n

Previously an Honorary Research Fellow at the\u00a0Slade School of Fine Art<\/a>,\u00a0Aceti\u00a0has also worked as an AHRC Postdoctoral Research Fellow at\u00a0Birkbeck College<\/a>,\u00a0University of London, School of History of Art, Film & Visual Media and as Visiting Research Fellow at the Victoria and Albert Museum.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
