Paul is currently looking at photons and  parallel universes in the work Multiverse which is based on\u00a0silver, the  mirror and quantum theories of light.\u00a0Paul is the co-chair of the  Transdisciplinary Imaging Conference 2010,2012 and 2014. In 2000 Paul  instigated and was the founding Director of the Biennale of Electronic  Arts Perth (BEAP) 2002, 2004. Paul has been working in the area of  electronic arts since 1981.\u00a0His pervious nanoart works \u2018Nanoessence\u2019  explores the space between life and death at a nano level and \u2018Midas\u2019  was researching\u00a0what \u00a0transferred when skin touched gold. \u00a0The Midas and  Nanoessence installations were in collaboration with SymbioticA, Centre  of Excellence in Biological Arts, University of Western Australia and  the Nanochemistry Research Institute, (NRI) Curtin University of  Technology.<\/p>\n<p>Paul\u2019s current publications are \u00a0Nanoart; The immateriality of art and Relive<strong> <\/strong>Media Art Histories, edited by Sean Cubitt and Paul Thomas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Dr Paul Thomas, is Head of Painting at the College of Fine Art, University of New South Wales.
