But something about it struck him as strange. A shimmer, an unsteadiness, as if the building faded forward into stability and then retreated into insubstantial uncertainty. An oscillation, each phase lasting a few seconds and then blurring off into its opposite, a fairly regular variability as if an organic pulsation underlay the structure. As if, he thought, it\u2019s alive.<br \/>\n(Phillip K Dick. 1969)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"su-row\">\n<div class=\"su-column su-column-size-1-3\">\n<div class=\"su-column-inner su-clearfix\">\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-178\" src=\"http:\/\/transimage.i-dat.org\/files\/2015\/10\/Capture.png\" alt=\"Capture\" width=\"578\" height=\"324\" \/><\/p>\n<h1 class=\"orange\">LOCATION<\/h1>\n<p>The Fourth International Conference on Transdisciplinary Imaging at the Intersections of Art, Science and Culture 2016 \u2013\u00a0<strong>THE ATEMPORAL IMAGE<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 is being hosted by i-DAT at Plymouth University in the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/transimage.i-dat.org\/contact\/\">Roland Levinsky Building<\/a>\u00a0located in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/Wamx1o3mmv62\">heart of Plymouth City<\/a>. These workshop will enable participants to touch the frozen non-photonic spaces and immerse themselves in data visualisations and sonifications.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"hr\" \/>\n<h2 class=\"orange\"><a href=\"http:\/\/transimage.i-dat.org\/call-for-papers\/\"><strong>THE ATEMPORAL IMAGE<\/strong><\/a><\/h2>\n<p>The Fourth International Conference on Transdisciplinary Imaging adopts the theme of the ATEMPORAL IMAGE and calls for papers that explore how a\u00a0new temporality informs and plays out across contemporary visual culture.
