TABOO – TRANSGRESSION – TRANSCENDENCE in Art & Science<\/p>\n

The Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University organizes for the second year in a row the interdisciplinary conference “Taboo – Transgression – Transcendence in Art & Science”, including theoretical and artwork presentations. In 26-28 May 2017 the conference will take place once more in the island of Corfu.<\/p>\n

Deadline for submitting abstracts and short CV: until March 10, 2017.<\/p>\n
Suggested, but not exclusive topics, are those associated, with:<\/p>\n
– Chemistry of the mind, natural healers and mind enhancement
\n– Post gender, transgressive identities and social models
\n– Cyborg, augmentation and b\u03bfdy modification
\n– Psycho-pharmacology, somatechnology and post-humanism
\n– Human-like machines, uncanny valley and sex technology
\n– Biopunk, hybridity and aesthetics of mutation
\n– Biotechnology, biophysics and music technology<\/p>\n
The conference proceedings will be published in digital format (e-Book) with ISBN number by the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University. The working languages of the conference are English and Greek.<\/p>\n
