Our annual juried competition draws entries from artists globally and has given away more than US$80,000 in prize money since its launch in 2012. Lumen Art Projects, a not-for-profit based in the UK, is dedicated to providing opportunities for artists who engage with technology globally through links with cultural venues, festivals and institutions globally.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lumenprize.com\">https:\/\/lumenprize.com<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"the-judging\">THE JUDGING<\/h2>\n<div class=\"content-block content-wysiwyg\">\n<p>The judging of the Lumen Prize is done in two stages. The longlist is determined by our International Selectors Committee of curators, art specialists and academics. This longlist is then reviewed by an eminent Jury Panel, who select the finalists and winners.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2020 Jury Panel<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Christiane Paul, Adjunct Curator, Whitney Museum, New York City<\/p>\n<p>Ben Vickers, CTO, the Serpentine Galleries, London<\/p>\n<p>Foteini Aravani, Digital Curator, Museum of London<\/p>\n<p>Melanie Lenz, Digital Curator, Victoria and Albert Museum, London<\/p>\n<p>Nathan Ladd, Assistant Curator, Tate Britain<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"the-awards\">THE AWARDS<\/h2>\n<div class=\"content-block content-wysiwyg\">\n<p>The Lumen Prize has a total prize fund of $11,500 presented across nine award categories.<\/p>\n<p>Gold Award \u2013 $4000<\/p>\n<p>Moving Image Award \u2013 $1000<\/p>\n<p>Still Image Award \u2013 $1000<\/p>\n<p>3D\/Interactive Award \u2013 $1000<\/p>\n<p>XR Award \u2013 $1000<\/p>\n<p>The BCS AI Award \u2013 $1000<\/p>\n<p>The Global South Award \u2013 $1000<\/p>\n<p>The Nordic Award \u2013 $1000<\/p>\n<p>The Photomonitor Student Award \u2013 $500<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">There will also be the opportunity to be curated into our Directors Showcase at The Cello Factory, London from 28-31st October, 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"the-awards-programme\">THE AWARDS PROGRAMME<\/h2>\n<div class=\"content-block content-wysiwyg\">\n<p>All shortlisted artists are eligible to take part in a range of opportunities as part of our awards programme.<\/p>\n<p>This programme includes an Awards Ceremony at the Barbican Centre for Performing Arts, London on 22 October 2020 followed by a networking event with Jack Addis, Director of Lumen Prize. The following day is an Artists\u2019 Meet-up with Carla Rapoport, Lumen\u2019s Founder and Executive Director and Artists Talks at IBM Southbank, London. There will also be the opportunity to be curated into our Directors Showcase in London in October.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"submission-process\">SUBMISSION PROCESS<\/h2>\n<div class=\"content-block content-wysiwyg\">\n<p>Artists are required to submit the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The completed online entry form<\/li>\n<li>A non-refundable application fee<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>From the submitted applications approximately 60 works will be selected for the Longlist.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"entry-fees\">ENTRY FEES<\/h2>\n<div class=\"content-block content-wysiwyg\">\n<p class=\"normal\"><span lang=\"EN\">It\u2019s US$48.00 for two works and US$24.00 for each additional work. A not-for-profit organisation, Lumen receives no outside funding.
