The BALANCE-UNBALANCE 2011 conference seeks to bring artists together<\/span><\/p>\n

with scientists, economists, philosophers, politicians, sociologists,<\/span>
\nengineers, management and policy experts with the intent of<\/span>
\nengendering a deeper awareness and creating lasting intellectual<\/span>
\nworking partnerships focusing on solving our global environmental<\/span>
\ncrisis.<\/span>
\nUsing art as a catalyst, BALANCE-UNBALANCE 2011 will explore<\/span>
\nintersections between NATURE, ART, SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY and SOCIETY as<\/span>
\nwe move into an era of both transdisciplinary possibilities and<\/span>
\necological threats for humankind.<\/span>
\nBALANCE-UNBALANCE calls for two days of reflection, debate, and the<\/span>
\npromotion of projects and actions regarding the environment and our<\/span>
\nhuman responsibility at this defining moment in our history.<\/span>
\nBALANCE-UNBALANCE will be held at Concordia University, Montreal –<\/span>
\nCanada, during November 4th and 5th of 2011.<\/span>
\nThe conference is free to the public. Seats are limited and we request<\/span>
\nyou to register online in advance. Registration is required to attend<\/span>
\nthe Paper Sessions, Panels and Transdiciplinary Activities. The two<\/span>
\nevening events at Concordia’s D.B. Clarke Theatre do not require<\/span>
\nregistration and all people interested are welcome.<\/span>
\nBALANCE-UNBALANCE will meet you the first day of the conference<\/span>
\n(Friday, Nov. 4th) in the Atrium of Concordia’s MB building: 1450 Guy<\/span>
