Course coordinator Dr Sami Kara will show how a first-year course in Design and Manufacturing was redesigned to mirror a real-life design and manufacturing project, of the kind that professional engineers may encounter. The course, which combines face-to-face with online activities and resources, received the Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence in 2009.
