Managerial Skills 360 Degree Survey

Please note that you can download your 360 Degree Profile from Monday 27 June from the 360 Facilitated® website (use your Participant Control Centre password sent from Leaderskill Group). You are required to download your profile, print and take to class next week. Please note that you must have Adobe Reader 6.0 or greater to print your profile.

The mid-Session Exam timetables can be viewed on the Timetables & key dates page of the AGSM MBA website, under ‘Exam timetables and notices’.

The Exam notices are also available on this page. Please make sure you read each carefully.

Please note that the majority of exams conducted within AGSM MBA Programs are handwritten. As very few of you would spend any significant time handwriting anything anymore we strongly suggest that you start practicing now. Exams will vary in time between 90 minutes and 3 hours so the more you practice the more prepared you will be for the writing challenges.

We encourage you to visit our website on a regular basis in order to obtain the most up-to-date information.

Mid Session Examination, Special Arrangements

Students with physical or medical conditions requiring special arrangements for their midsession examination are required to submit the Special Arrangements form to the Program Office before 5pm on Friday 1^st July.

Please note that the last date to withdraw without financial penalty from Session 2 2011 courses has now passed.

The last date to withdraw without academic penalty is Sunday 17^th July 2011 (Course tuition fee is forfeited or FEE-HELP debt incurred. No academic penalty is incurred).

Class Attendance

We would like to take this opportunity to remind students that they should attend their allocated class. If a situation arises where you attend a class other than your allocated class, please ensure that you sign the Attendance Roll as a visitor.

Assignments must be handed in to your allocated Class Instructor for marking. Please make alternative arrangements with your Instructor if you are unable to attend the class when assessments are due.

Withdrawal deadline

The last day to withdraw from Session 2, 2011 without financial penalty is 19^th June 2011. No more new enrolments will be accepted for this session. Please send us a request via email by COB Friday 17^th June if you need to withdraw.

Telephone Evaluations

Please be advised that during Week 3 the Student Experience Team is going to be conducting random 10 minute telephone evaluations. Your assistance in providing feedback about your courses is greatly appreciated.

Looking for a bone marrow match

Shehaan Fernando, a 2009 SMY AGSM Alumni is currently battling Leukemia. He was diagnosed within a week of the birth of his first child, which was devastating. He is of Sri Lankan decent and having a really difficult time finding a bone marrow match in Australia. All possible donors need to do is register with the Red Cross and donate blood for the test. Obviously Sri Lankans and neighbouring countries are who we are trying to capture. On occasion, students are permitted to attend an alternate class, where they cannot make their allocated class time. Sydney CBD students in particular are asked to observe their class allocations.

Students travelling interstate for work may attend alternate classes as required and should sign ‘Visitor Attendance Lists’ to record attendance.

Students are also reminded that all assessment items must be submitted to their allocated class instructor.

Managing People & Organisations – Intensive weekend 1

The MPO Intensive Weekend 1 is scheduled this weekend at the AGSM Building, University of NSW, Kensington campus, Sydney.

Parking is available by ‘Pay & Display’ ticket machines between 7:30am-7:30pm Monday to Friday, on the top 2 levels of Botany Street car park. Parking is free after 7:30pm weekdays, and on weekends. Street parking may also be available.

Course fees include lunches and snacks while attending the workshops. Students are responsible for any other meals and associated travel or accommodation costs. Please click here for a list of local hotels.

Timetable for Intensive Weekend:

Friday 17^th June: 6pm – 9pm

Saturday 18^th June: 9am – 5pm

Sunday 19^th June: 9am – 4pm

Students are required to complete work and readings prior to attending the residential.

Tuition fees are due by 5^th June 2011 and your statement is available from your student profile on myUNSW (click here for instructions).

Students wishing to apply for FEE-HELP should contact the Student Financials team on csandfees@unsw.edu.au.  You will need to submit your application prior to the census date for Session 2: 19^th June 2011.
