UNSW Network of Work Integrated Learning Educators (WILEd)

This new network group has great relevance to clinical teachers in the medical program and practice-based supervisors in the exercise physiology program.

The UNSW Network of WILEd is for academic and professional staff members who are involved in professional placements or practicums, fieldwork, industrial training, cooperative education, field education, service learning, international or local, internships, volunteering, mentoring and other work integrated learning opportunities for students. Learning & Teaching @ UNSW and Careers and Employment have collaborated on this project to develop a University wide network of educators who work within a professional placement context. The network group will meet 4 times per semester to share best practice and participate in focussed discussions on topics such as:

  • Preparation of students
  • Teaching / Supervision
  • Career Development Learning
  • Assessment
  • Evaluation
  • Systems
  • Legal & Risk

Meeting dates

4th May, 1st June, 13th Jul, 24th Aug, 5th Oct and 23rd Nov

Venue: Learning and Teaching @ UNSW, Level 4, Matthews Building

Time: 12- 1:20pm (BYO lunch)
