A Taste of Law: Messina Gelato Van

Visit us at the Law building to receive a free scoop of Messina gelato!

Art & Design: Learn to Screen Print

Make use of the free shuttle buses at Open Day, and visit our specialist Art & Design campus in Paddington.

Explore our Screen Printing Workshops, where you will get an introduction to the process, and print a unique artwork on your own free tote bag.

Location: Paddington Campus, GG01 & GG02, Ground Floor G Block

 

UNSW Built Environment: Luminocity Exhibition

Our Luminocity student exhibition is the best opportunity to explore inspiring work and models by UNSW Built Environment students, across our undergraduate degrees.

You’ll have the chance to view student work and explore the process involved in bringing these ideas to life.

Arts & Social Sciences: Career Match-Making Game

At UNSW Arts & Social Sciences we want you to love what you do – and that means choosing a degree that will help you secure a job you love. Find your perfect career match with the Arts & Social Sciences Match-Making Game.

Through a series of fun questions, you will find out which careers suit your personality type best. From there, our game host will introduce you to the degrees which will lead you to your career match. So grab your ticket on the day and let our host help you find your calling!

Flight Simulator

Test your pilot skills in the purpose-built UNSW Aviation flight simulator – a replica aircraft flight deck complete with instrument panels and navigation equipment.

Jump into the cockpit and take the controls for a thrilling trip over the stunning Sydney skyline.

This one is bound to be popular and slots are limited, so make sure you sign up at the tent on the day for this not-to-be-missed experience.

UNSOMNIA: Short talks for restless minds

Tackling the big issues that keep us tossing and turning at night, imagining the inconceivable, and envisioning the future, UNSW researchers have 10 minutes each to explain what our lives will be like in 70 years.

Picture a world where we each have a personalised genetic blueprint at birth, and we have cured all disease. We spend most of our time in virtual worlds, and technology has fundamentally altered our laws, freedom, and democracy.

Find out how our research will let you live in this future.

UNSOMNIA will run over four sessions: Medicine, Maths & Engineering, Arts and Law & Social Policy.

UNSW Engineering: Skyjuice Filter

Learn how a state-of-the-art membrane filtration process can be designed as an appropriate technology to produce safer water for humanitarian activities.

With a small amount of gravity, dirty water is forced through a microporous polymeric filter which removes all suspended solids, and most of the viruses and bacteria.

The World of Business

Roll on up to the World of Business at the Globe Lawn to see what your life as a UNSW Business School student will be like!

Dive in to our business ball pit, connect with current Business School students in our chill out zone and munch on our career popping popcorn.

Exercise Physiology Fitness Tests

Come along to the Medicine tent and test your jump height and grip strength while chatting to our Exercise Physiology ambassadors.

Location: Commerce Courtyard

 

EPICentre: Expand your perceptions

Be amazed by the world’s highest resolution 3D cylindrical display at the Expanded Perception and Interaction Centre (EPICentre), UNSW’s pioneering visualisation facility.

The EPICylinder, boasting almost 120 million pixels, will be displaying breathtaking ultra-high resolution panoramas, an interactive point-cloud exploration and the ON|OFF 100101010 Curated Art exhibition.

The EPICentre also houses the DomeLab, which is a six-metre diameter 3D Hemispherical Projection environment that will be displaying two projects titled ‘Blood’ and ‘Travelling Kungkarangkalpa: Art Experience’.
