Posted by on September 19th, 2011 · Uncategorized

PLACES STILL AVAILABLE – Deadline 30th September 2011

A six-week Chinese language study program, organised by the School of Languages and Linguistics and Yunnan Normal University, is offered to current UNSW students during the summer term period (December 2011 – January 2012).

This language study program will be held in Yunnan Normal University, located at Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province in China. The program is designed for students with different levels of proficiency in Chinese – from complete beginners to students with advanced level in Chinese. This is a unique opportunity for language learning in China and cultural immersion. Yunnan is renowned for its various scenic spots, for example, the Stone Forest, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain; and its cultural heritage, such as (which has been designated by UNESCO as one of the world’s major cultural heritages), the Three Pagodas in Dali. There are 25 ethnic minorities in Yunnan, such as the Dai, Yi, Naxi, Miao, Zhuang, Tibetan, etc. This makes Yunnan one of the most culturally diverse provinces in China.
