JPMorgan Chase Corporate challenge

The Sydney leg of the JPMorgan Chase Corporate challenge is happening in November:

Date:    Wednesday, 9 November 2011

Place:   Centennial Park, Sydney

Start:    6:30 p.m.

Entry:   $50 per person

The course is 5.6km loop around Centennial park. You can run or walk the course. Last year 290 companies were represented in Sydney and there were almost 6000 participants.

Globally almost 200,000 people participate. JPM donates profits from the race to a local charity in each city (Football United! for Sydney 2011). Participants also receive a quality running t-shirt at the end of the race.

Marketing Competition

AGSM students are invited to a marketing competition in a real world challenge!!

Delivery Hero is a start-up company, and is launching an online delivery service and need to develop and implement a marketing strategy for B2C.

The competition is between MBS, AGSM and University of Sydney. You can participate individually or in groups of 2 people.

It would be a fantastic opportunity to understand more about the competition, the company, the start-up process and the opportunity to do an internship!

Information for GCCM Students:

Opportunity to join the GDM Program

Students who are about to finish their GCCM can consider joining the GDM. The application deadline for Session 1, 2012 is Nov 7th, 2011. Students must submit all documentation by this date.

Students who achieve a WAM of 60% may apply to the Graduate Diploma in Management. Should their application be successful, they would receive three exemptions from the courses Managing People & Organisations, Managerial Skills and Managing Change. You must complete a further five core courses to achieve GDM.

Your final results will be released via myUNSW by COB on Wednesday 28th September 2011.


Information for Session 3 Students:

Census Date – This Sunday!

The last day to withdraw from Session 3, 2011 without incurring any financial penalty is the census date this Sunday, 2nd October 2011. No more new enrolments will be accepted for this session. Please send us a request via email by COB Friday 30th September if you need to withdraw.

Online Course Materials

Electronic copies of the course materials for GDM & GCCM will are now available via Blackboard 9.

To Access Blackboard 9:

Tax Invoices

If you require a tax invoice, please contact UNSW Treasury to request one.  Treasury needs the request from students in writing which you can do by sending an email to (N.B: enter “NS Student AGSM Tax Invoice / Receipt” as the subject and ensure you list your name, student ID and the UNSW Semester – i.e. Summer, Semester 1 or Semester 2).
