Bucerius Law School is offering 2 English-taught Summer Programs giving students and recent graduates the perfect opportunity to expand their global horizons while deepening their knowledge in the given field over several weeks.
- Inaugurated in 2008, the Bucerius Summer Program in International Business Law (July 22 – August 17, 2012) is taught by experienced professors and legal practitioners. Participants from around the world with a background in commercial law explore topics such as corporate governance, international M&A, commercial arbitration and many more, earning a total of up to 7 ABA/14 ECTS credits.
- In 2012 Bucerius Law School introduces the Bucerius Summer Program in Mediation (July 22 – August 10, 2012). Participants learn how companies manage conflicts systematically and how conflict resolution projects are designed and implemented. This highly-interactive program, combined with coaching from professional mediators, hones participants’ problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. The program is worth 4 ABA/8 ECTS credits.
The Bucerius Summer Programs are independent programs, offered separately from the International Exchange Program. However, the Summer and Exchange programs are complementary, so students interested in attending one of the Summer Programs prior to their exchange semester are welcome and encouraged to do so. There is a short break in-between the two study periods, during which time students may choose to enroll in an intensive German language course, travel or just relax in Hamburg.
