Global Crisis Simulation (GCS) was created by a group of undergraduate students at University of British Columbia who saw a need for an innovative business and policy. This February 2014, GCS will be bringing together a talented cohort of delegates in Mumbai, India to solve real-life challenges in international business, corporate governance, technology, and science. It will combine Model UN style debate with a crisis workshop format that will offer an incomparable setting for aspiring inter-sector leaders to develop their skills. The cases up for debate are of the highest caliber, and designed with the help of consultants at top companies like McKinsey and Deloitte.
Besides the conference itself, GCS will also be running a Social Entrepreneurship Challenge, where participants can submit a feasible project that will somehow solve a pressing problem in the world. The winning team will receive mentorship and guidance from our partners, as well as a cash prize of $2500 to implement their idea. Additionally, GCS will be hosting professional development workshops, panel discussions, social events, and other exciting opportunities for networking. The Sauder School of Business will also be offering a scholarship for its Master of Management (MM) degree to a participant of the conference.
