Overview
This year, Yonsei University opens its doors to international students for a 6-week winter program at its Sinchon campus. The winter program is composed of two separate 3-week sessions, with intensive morning coursework and unique afternoon Korean language and Taekwondo classes. At the weekend, students can enjoy Korean winter activities. It will be an excellent opportunity to catch up with your coursework, to meet professors in an intimate setting, and to enjoy the companionship of students from all over the world.
2013/2014 Session Dates
- Session 1: Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013 – Thursday, January 16, 2014
- Session 2: Tuesday, January 21, 2014 -Wednesday, February 12, 2014
**Students have the option to take either one or both sessions.

Field Trips
During each session, one or more of the following field trips will be organized for the students. Details will be updated through the website http://winter.yonsei.ac.kr.
City Tour: a day tour in the city of Seoul visiting palaces, shopping centers, museums, etc.
DMZ Tour: a visit to the demilitarized zone between South and North Korea
Ski Trip: a weekend getaway to a nearby ski resort to enjoy the winter sports or just play in the snow!
Fees
- This program will be administered on an exchange basis. Selected UNSW students will not have to pay tuition fees.
- All other fees will be payable by the selected students. This will include flights, accommodation, field trips etc.
Application
UNSW students must complete theĀ UNSW GEP Application and return to advisor4globaled@unsw.edu.au by 9am Wednesday November 13th.
Transfer of Credit:
UNSW students who wish to transfer the credit from the Yonsei Winter Program must have the course(s) approved. As this is administered as an exchange students must complete theĀ Intensive ToC Form. This form will need to be signed by the relevant school/faculty. This must also be submitted to advisor4globaled@unsw.edu.au.
