The Chinese University of Hong Kong will hold their International Summer School (ISS) 2014 fromĀ 30 June to 4 August.

The ISS provides an opportunity for students to internationalize themselves while gaining professional growth at CUHK, to appreciate Asian cultures firsthand and to make friends with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. In 2013 summer, about 650 students attended the programme; 70% of them came from 36 countries/regions around the world. They made the programme truly international!

At the ISS, courses are taught by outstanding academics from CUHK and prestigious overseas universities. This summer, in addition to Chinese language (Putonghua and Cantonese) courses, courses in business, Chinese medicine, engineering, environmental studies, humanities and social science will be offered. Many of them will focus on the Asian or Chinese perspective.

After completion of the ISS, native English-speaking students may join a volunteer teaching programme in mainland China (Website: http://www.chinateachenglish.com).
