The Nottingham University Business School (NUBS) China: “How to do Business in China”.

The Nottingham University Business School (NUBS) China is hosting the two-week international summer university program “How to do Business in China”.

One of the unique aspects of this “hands-on” program is that all participants are afforded the opportunity to experience doing business in China through simulation and practice, and to meet and talk with Chinese business people and government representatives.

The course will be held at the NUBS China campus in Ningbo (about 250 kilometers South of Shanghai) during last week of June and first week of July 2012.

Hebrew University Summer Programs 2012

Intensive Hebrew language study (Ulpan) is available on six levels, ranging from elementary (Aleph) to upper advanced (Vav). Courses are designed primarily for students enrolled in academic programs at the Hebrew University, but are also open to external students with appropriate academic background. All applicants must have been accepted to a recognized college or university or have successfully completed at least one year of study at an accredited institution of higher education. High school graduates who have successfully completed their matriculation exams may also apply.

(*) Beginning with the upper intermediate level (Gimel), six hours a week are devoted primarily to vocabulary enrichment in the broad areas of humanities, social sciences, and science. Readings include scholarly texts in Hebrew on a range of subjects, e.g., Jewish studies, mathematics, psychology, art, history, literature and anthropology.

All accepted students must complete financial registration in Jerusalem before starting the course, even if they have paid their fees in advanced. Students must attend classes from the first day of the Ulpan.

Summer Program ‘Global Cities: Barcelona-Los Angeles’

Universitat Pompeu Fabra and  the University of California-Los Angeles are launching a new international summer program  “Global Cities: Barcelona-Los Angeles”.

As a last project of internationalization, “Global Cities” has been conceived to provide students with a comparative perspective in the areas of Humanities, Political Science and Communication Studies, core areas of expertise of the hosting institutions, by building on the creativity, the industries and the social, political and cultural background of the host cities: Barcelona and Los Angeles.

The program is divided in two modules of six weeks, the first in Barcelona at UPF (June 25-Agust 3) and the next in Los Angeles at UCLA (August 6-September 14). It includes courses in the domains of History, Politics, Literature, Mass Media Studies and Visual and Performing Arts. Hands-on documentary workshops and field studies will add value to this enriching academic experience.  Non-Spanish speaking students may supplement the enrolment in content courses with the study of Spanish language at different levels.

The Clinical Rotation Program gives students a chance to learn about healthcare delivery and health problems faced by communities in an urban setup. This program offers great learning opportunities for pre-meds, medical students, public health students and nursing students who are interested in international health.

If you have a passion for film then this is the program for you! ISAC’s film and media program is a one of a kind program that is based in the heart of India’s film industry popularly known as “Bollywood”. Set in the bustling metropolis of Mumbai this program entails one-on-one meetings with professionals, visits to live sets, tours of post-production facilities and a student project; fostering both intense learning and cultural immersion.

This program is an opportunity to work with organizations that are at the forefront of social change in India. Observe, learn and participate in the areas of poverty alleviation, health, women’s empowerment, micro-credit, community development, child sponsorship, HIV / AIDS interventions and awareness programs, education and teaching programs. 

 

Rural and Public Health Rotation– Save $450!

This is an opportunity to gain insights into a large, complex and effective healthcare system that works with a range of infectious diseases and impacts remote populations of rural India. ISAC offers an in-depth Rural and Public Health rotation for medical and pre-medical students to work with local doctors on mobile vans, hospitals, clinics and AIDS/HIV interventions.

Study Spanish in Seville!

UNSW Study Abroad, in collaboration with the UNSW Department of Hispanic Studies, offers students the opportunity to study Spanish intensively in Spain for four weeks (6 January 2013 – 2 February 2013).

Academic credit

Students successfully completing the course will receive 6UOC in transfer credits.

Eligibility

Students may study beginner level Spanish language courses and therefore there are no prerequisites to be eligible to enrol in this language course.
