International Educational Experiences of UNSW students

Engineering for Developing Communities in Nepal

Technion‘s Engineering for Developing Communities program will take place in Nepal between July 21st and August 15th, 2013. The program will be led by Prof. Bernard Amadei (Founder of Engineers without Borders in the US) and Prof Mark Talesnick (Founder of Engineers without Borders’ Technion Chapter) and faculty from Kathmandu University. The course will include students from Israel, the United Stated and Nepal. 
 
The program provides a hands-on, real life learning experience enabling students to apply fundamental and theoretical knowledge to real world day-to-day situations. The program challenges students to meet problems with innovative and out of the box thinking, and provides them with multi-disciplinary tools to address a wide range of engineering and development challenges.

Cost of the Program: $4,500 not including airfare

UNSW students who would like to apply should apply as per the instructions on the Technion website by May 15th 2013. UNSW students should also submit the UNSW GEO Registration Form and return to advisor4globaled@unsw.edu.au.
