HKUST Summer Exchange Program 2014

Program Features

UNSW Business and Engineering students can take a variety of regular UG-level courses offered by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). Local excursions and cultural activities will be arranged exclusively for ISP participants. There will be ample activities and events for ISP participants to interact with each other and local HKUST students, allowing them to make new friends and exchange knowledge about their own cultures. Program Period

The program will take place over HKUST’s summer semester, i.e., from 23 June to 15 August, 2014. Courses will start and end on different dates within the summer semester. Course list is expected to be available in January.

Program Fees

Students do not need to pay HKUST tuition fees*, while student housing will be provided at a nominal charge. Students will also need to pay the fees to cover for their student visa application and travel insurance.

*UNSW students receiving credit will be enrolled at UNSW and will continue to pay their UNSW student fees.

Application Procedures

This program is administered as an intensive short term exchange.  UNSW students must be nominated in order to participate in the program. UNSW student who would like to participate must complete the UNSW GEP Application and the Intensive Transfer of Credit Form (in order to receive credit for the course) and return to advisor4globaled@unsw.edu.au before Thursday January 30th 2014. Applications will be assessed on a rolling basis. Please ensure you include all supporting documentation.

Deadline

The UNSW deadline is Thursday January 30th 2014, however applications will be assessed on a rolling basis. Selected students will be notified and asked to submit a secondary application no later than February 7th 2014.
