China Study Programme “Business Environment in Hong Kong & China”

Introduction
The China Study Programme is for people who are enthusiastic about China and who wish to broaden their knowledge and understanding of the country. Participants include university students (such as EMBA students), business executives, and government officials. China Business Centre (CBC) has offered a variety of training programmes to students from North America, Europe, and Asia. Upon completion of the course CBC presents participants with a Certificate of Attainment.

Duration and Location

CBC tailor-makes each programme to meet the needs of participating organizations. The duration of a programme ranges from 3 days to 1 month. In addition to the training in Hong Kong participants may also partake in field trips to the Chinese Mainland. CBC arranges trips to major cities, Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou; to industrial districts, Dongguan; and to region of historic and cultural interests, Xi’an and Huangshan.

Mode of Teaching

The programme involves interactive lectures at PolyU by academic staff, industry practitioners, and government officials, as well as site visits. Sites may include the:
– Hong Kong Stock Exchange and Clearing Limited (HKEx)
– Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA)
– Hong Kong Trade Development Council (TDC)
– Hong Kong Housing Authority
– Hong Kong Planning and Infrastructure Exhibition Gallery
– Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks
