Peking University, Guanghua School of Management: Doing Business in China – Winter Program

Guanghua School of Management (Peking University) will be holding the Doing Business in China (DBIC) program in from 4-10 January, 2015. This program will provide an overview of doing business in China, including an introduction to Chinese economy, history and culture.

Academic Modules: Guanghua professors will give introductory conferences about the Chinese economic, political and social environments. The course will allow students to gain an understanding of the driving force of China’s economic growth phenomenon over the last 30 years and the future.

Company Visits: During company visits, students not only learn the unique challenges facing firms in China, but are also able to engage in open dialogue with China’s top senior managers, allowing students  to  familiarize themselves with the “day-to-day” operations of enterprises in China.

Cultural Tours: Located in the heart of China, Beijing is home to China’s most famous historical sites and is a place rich in culture.  Participants will have the opportunity to interact socially and culturally through organized events, such as: Great Wall, Forbidden City and Tea House.

Fees: A limited number of exchange places may be available for this program. A non-tuition fee of RMB 5,600 will still be payable to Guanghua School of Management by the selected students. Additional expenses to be covered by students include flights, transport to/from airport, dinners, and other personal expenses.

Please note: Applicants for this program should be Masters students or high-performing 3rd/4th-year undergraduate students and should be completing a degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Economics).
