Pusan National University, Korea: PNU Winter School 2015

The PNU Winter School provides students with an enriched cultural and educational experience for two and a half weeks. The program runs from 19 January – 4 February 2015 and consists of a series of lectures covering subjects on Korea, and also various activities including a ski trip, a visit to Beomosa Temple and more.

The course, Cultural and Historical Heritage of Korea, is delivered in English and will introduce the arts and culture of Korea from the prehistoric period to modern times. Significant examples of paintings, ceramics, sculptures and metalworks will be examined in their historic and cultural contexts.

Cultural Activities offer students a chance to satisfy their cultural curiosity about Korea by participating in activities concerning the most traditional to the most contemporary Korean culture. Activities include: ski trip (3 days), temple visit (2 days), taekwondo, K-POP dance, making korean food, wearing Hanbok, and more.

The program fee is USD1,700 (including enrollment, tuition, on-campus Housing with meals, and activities).

A limited number of exchange places may be available for this program.

How to Apply: UNSW Students must complete the GEP Application Form and email to advisor4globaled@unsw.edu.au by 9am Monday 17th November, 2014.

In order to receive credit for the program the Transfer of Credit Form must be completed and signed by the faculty/course authorities and submitted to our office by the application deadline.
