Tohoku University Summer Programs 2015

Tohoku University are pleased to announce their annual summer programs, the Tohoku University Science Summer Program 2015 (TSSP2015) and Tohoku University Japanese Program 2015 (TUJP2015).

TSSP (6 – 17 July, 2015) is designed for undergraduates majoring in science and engineering. The program offers cutting-edge classes in advanced sciences and engineering. It aims to provide students with insight on what world society needs based on advanced science and technology in the future and how they can contribute to society through research. The participants will have an opportunity to participate in 8 lectures with facility/ laboratory visits. Japanese language lectures, field trips to cultural and historical sites and culture workshops are also offered.

TUJP (6 – 21 July, 2015) is a Japanese culture focused program. It provides students with an opportunity to “discover” Japan through diverse learning experiences in English. The program offers intensive Japanese language classes for both beginner and intermediate learners, topical seminars in Japanese culture and society, collaborative projects with Japanese students and other cultural activities including field-trips.
