NIEA invites you to the third in the series of Postgraduate Seminars. The NIEA Postgraduate Seminar Series provides an opportunity to hear presentations from senior NIEA affiliated researchers on their current projects.
This seminar will feature a presentation by Frances Dyson entitled Posthuman futures – the work of Catherine Richards followed by Nigel Helyer presenting Snap, Crackle Pop.
Professor Nigel Helyer, (a.k.a. Dr Sonique) is a Sydney based Sculptor and Sound Artist with an international reputation for his large scale sonic installations, environmental sculpture works and new media projects. Professor Frances Dyson is a groundbreaking researcher in the field of sound and embodiment in new media. Professor Dyson is the author of Sounding New Media: Immersion and Embodiment in Arts and Culture, visiting Professor at NIEA and Emeritus Professor at UC Davis
