Antai College of Economics and Management (ACEM) Global Summer School

Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University are pleased to announce that their college will have a brand-new Global Summer School from July 2 to July 20 2012. Student will be awarded 9 ECTS credits for the program.

King’s College London Summer School: 2 July – 10 August 2012

The Summer School will offer over 60 undergraduate level courses to choose from and in addition to an expanded selection of courses in arts, culture, law, literature, management and politics; King’s College are also delighted to be offering new courses in health & society and physics.

Every course has a minimum of 45 contact hours over three weeks and is fully assessed. Each student is awarded an academic transcript upon completion.

The Summer School is located in the very heart of London, with accommodation and classes next to many great cultural, social and entertainment attraction which London has to offer.

Bogazici University: Summer Term in Istanbul, Turkey

Summer Term (June 25-August 8 2012) at Bogazici University of an intensive seven week program. They offer a rich variety of courses in the social and natural sciences, history, languages, engineering, education, arts and sports. Every summer approximately 3800 students enroll in more than 270 courses. The language of instruction is English, and they use a credit hour system for courses with ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) equivalents.

Duke Law – Summer Institutes in Transitional Law

 Duke Law School’s Summer Institutes (July 1 2012 – July 31 2012) in Transitional Law are designed to help prepare for successful work in this increasingly international legal landscape. Through two four-week, intensive programs – one in Geneva, the other in Hong Kong – the institute provide educational and professional tools for students and young lawyers who are interested in international and comparative law and aim to pursue or expand a transitional legal practice.

UNSW Practicum Exchange Program

Students wishing to go on a research exchange can do so through the UNSW Practicum Exchange Program. This program gives UNSW students the opportunity for a short term (usually 2-6 months) research internships at many of our international partner institutions. As a student at UNSW you can:

  • undertake research projects at some of the top universities around the world
  • be supervised by some of the best researchers in your area of study
  • travel to exotic locations and meet other students to create your own profession network for the future.

2012 Aarhus Summer University

In 2012 Aarhus Summer University are offering 78 courses within Business, Economics, Political science, Law, Psychology, Communication, Media, Theology, Culture, Health, Bio Science, Geo Science, Food Science and Mathematics. All courses are taught in English at Bachelor, Master, and PhD level.

Sciences Po French Summer Programme

This programme is an intensive French language programme, tailor-made to improve students’ ability to talk about Social Sciences in French prior to the beginning of their studies at Sciences Po. It relies on two pilot programmes organized in 2010 and 2011 in our regional campus of Le Havre, and on exchange students’ needs, which have been evaluated all over the years .

It is a 4-weeks programme, which will take place from July 2 to 20, in the historical campus based in the heart of the city of Paris.Students who will be on exchange in one of our other campuses (Nancy, Dijon, Poitiers, Le Havre, Menton, Reims) are of course most welcome to attend  the programme and enjoy the summer in Paris !

Overall, 66 hours of French language lessons will be delivered, by a team of experimented teachers, all with a solid international background, making the teaching well-adapted to the needs of students coming from all over the world !

Summer Business Immersion 2012 – The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

For five weeks this summer, 30 – 40 undergraduate students from around the world and the US have the opportunity to participate in a unique Summer Business Immersion at one of the world’s best business schools, UNC Kenan-Flagler, and the oldest public university in the country, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

To be eligible to apply to the program, students must:

  • be currently enrolled as undergraduates in good standing at their home university.
  • have a minimum equivalency of a grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4 point scale; equivalent to a B average). For international grade conversion, go to www.wes.org/gradeconversionguide/.
  • have completed basic courses in Corporate Finance and Financial Accounting.
  • be proficient in computer spreadsheet (Excel) use.
  • be fluent in spoken and written English.

    Babson College Global Leadership Development Experience 2012

    Babson College is offering an exciting new program in 2012. The Babson College Global Leadership Development Experience (GLDE) is an initiative that gives college students from around the globe the opportunity to work together to address some of the major problems facing the world today.

    The GLDE Program will take place on Babson College campus from June 3 to June 29 2012. The goal is to bring together approximately 30 top students from around the world who are committed to working with each other and with faculties to take action on global challenges – today! Babson College will use the United Nations Millennium Development Goals as a framework for exploring some of the current major world issues. They will work with students to use entrepreneurial thought and action, to create action plans with each other and for actual businesses and organizations that can address these challenges. By the end of the Experience, Babson college hope to have established a global and connected network of high-impact students who will continue to work together with us on these important issues.

    UNSW is able to nominate two of our best students to be a part of this unique experience. This will be a highly interactive experience, as students will spend more time outside of the classroom than in it, meeting with leaders and organizations from Boston, New York and beyond. It promises to be a life-changing experience for those who are involved in the program.
