Identity Management Foundation Project Update

The Identity Management (IdAM) Foundation project had now commenced End to End regression (E2E) testing as well as detailed implementation planning. This will help define the system outage and cut over details which we can then share with you. Our planned go live date is between 24 September and 2 October (mid semester break), subject to successful testing.

We also welcome our new project manager, Peter Dazeley.

New IDM feature: “Reset your forgotten password”
From Go Live, a new option will be available for staff and students to receive a verification code enabling them to log in to IDM and reset their password

If you’ve registered your personal email or mobile number in myUNSW AND you’ve forgotten your password, you can use the new IDM site to request a verification code via email or SMS text message. Once you receive the code, you can use it to log in (instead of your password). Please note: the verification code is temporary and is not reusable.

Act Now: An accurate and up-to-date personal email address and/or mobile phone number in myUNSW is the best step you can take to ensure you never lose access to your account. Take a moment and make sure your personal email address and/or phone number is up to date in myUNSW to take advantage of the new feature after IDM Go Live.
